Where We Stayed
We kicked off our trip by checking into the Crossroads Hotel, a boutique hotel with a chic industrial vibe. Exposed brick, high ceilings, and trendy decor made it feel like we were stepping into an Instagram-worthy dream. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s bar, which served some of the best craft cocktails we’ve had in a while. We also couldn’t resist trying their flatbread pizzas—delicious, fresh, and perfect for a late-night snack. It’s a spot we’d recommend to anyone looking for a mix of comfort and style.

Kansas City’s food scene is no joke, and we took full advantage! Dinner at Rye at the Plaza was nothing short of amazing. Known for its locally sourced ingredients and refined takes on classic comfort food, we indulged in everything from fried chicken to decadent desserts. The ambiance was cozy yet upscale—perfect for our first night in town.
Brunch at Pierpont’s at Union Station was another highlight. Located in the stunning historic train station, the setting alone was worth the visit. Pierpont’s delivered on both flavor and presentation, and we couldn’t get enough of their signature cocktails. Pro tip: Arrive early to soak in the gorgeous architecture of Union Station!
Experiences We Loved
Our weekend aligned perfectly with the Hallmark Christmas Experience, which felt like stepping into a holiday movie. From festive lights to interactive exhibits, it was a magical way to get into the holiday spirit. It’s a must-see if you’re visiting during the Christmas season.
Saturday night was reserved for something we’d been looking forward to for months—a Justin Timberlake concert at the T-Mobile Center. The energy in the arena was electric, and JT did not disappoint. From his iconic dance moves to crowd-pleasing hits, it was a night to remember.
To cap off our weekend, we attended a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium. If you’ve never experienced game day at Arrowhead, add it to your bucket list. The fans, the energy, and the roar of the stadium were incredible. Plus, the Chiefs pulled off an exciting win, making the experience even sweeter.
